Got one of those chain letters in my inbox this morning; you know the kind:

Pictures below are from a beach in Maryland. Isn’t the artwork awesome? Be sure to open up your screen all the way. The man creates new ones each day, as the ocean washes away his work every day.

This is Chuck Ritchey, Sr. I have watched this man work on the beach at Ocean City, Maryland. Each time I watch him I marvel at his talent and fortitude because it is true that his works get washed away with the tide and he does them again. He is certainly a witness for Jesus Christ as thousands of people, in the course of a day, view his work and watch as he crafts his treasures. May his message be viewed by many.

You’ve seen the images, no doubt; stuff like this:

Jesus 3 Jesus 2 Jesus 1

Really tasteful. The middle one particularly displays the Christian fundamentalist fetishism for murder.

The message — despite being a chain letter — got past my spam filters because it was sent internally. Someone inside the hospital’s network mailed the message. My response follows.

In the interest of fairness to others, we should include these images too.

Sand Shiva Sand Krishna Sand Buddha

(The images are of a sand Shiva, Krishna and Buddha, respectively.)

I’m just waiting for a sand Muslim extremist to declare a sand jihad and sculpt a sand suicide bombing.
