I hope you get to adopt soon.

I was over staying with Chris (my ex-wife) last night to help her with stuff (*kids*) since she's ill, and I was snuggling with "Brandi" (Brandon) and lying next to him and his teddy bears and watching "Surf's Up" on his little tv made me think of you.

email me sometime and let me know where you are in the adoption process.

And good luck.

Being a daddy is great.

I can't wait until you get to experience this firsthand.

...

And I know you will be a dedicated dad, very INVOLVED and hands on...but don't fear that compromises will be made.

Chris and I at first with Alex (or most new parents really)

"We will ONLY breastfeed...and later make all out own baby food from scratch, from organic veggies and fruits we grow ourselves. Bowl *everything*...sterilize it ALL! Cloth....*organic* cloth diapers. Bedtime story EVERY. SINGLE. NIGHT. No matter how knackered we are! Homeschooling, of course. Maybe private (Montisori, OF COURSE) - no public school is good enough."

Later, after 2nd child in on way...

"Formula is okay in a pinch...the cheap gallon jug of distilled and reused bottle from last night will do just fine. Can babies eat french fies? Just put on a DVD of Teletubbies to get her to bed. What is the cheapest brand of generic diapers? Damn, can I put hem is public school for longer, I need a break"

(Okay, maybe that's all an exaggeration...but it;s like that Luv's diaper commercial says...you start out only demanding the BEST...then "later you learn to live and get Luv's..."S to speak...)
