Brian Eno is (along with author Neil Stephenson) a member of the board of The Long Now Foundation.

One of my favorite Eno pieces is An Ending (Ascent) from Apollo.

I first heard it when it was used as the theme for Timothy Ferris’ beautiful science show “The Creation of the Universe”. (This was back in the late 80’s, way, way before “28 Days Later”…)
